On a different note, at least I know I didn't miss much by not visiting Alamanda before I left lol.
Anywaaaaay, today was the first day of class. All the professors kept it short and sweet. In my U.S History class, the prof asked if we knew who it was that dictated that we're recquired to take a full year of U.S History. In most states, students are allowed to choose the kind of history they want to learn, e.g, European History, World History, etc. One guy uncertainly suggested "Bush?" Nope. Wrong answer. Unfortunately, no one knew the right answer. So here's the reality of 60% of our generation - we blindly allow other people to dictate our lives, with no clue who's pulling the strings. Even the language most of us speak - English. Why English ? Because it was forced on us by another culture for reasons of convienience. Thus, contributing to the extinction of several languages around the world. Anyway, the answer to the professor's Q was, the state of Texas.
So, another day, another lesson. So what's in store tmr ? 2 classes, then lunch with Deborah. More updates soon. Maybe even pics lol.
let's see, i forgot what i did on monday... but tuesday and wednesday was hanging out at W's crib (like we always do,hehe) where would we be without her crib? all the dinners, sleepovers, friday get-togethers, prank calls, celebrations (birthdays, new years, merdeka, etc) and umm, the occasional dancing. haha. we've practically grown up in her house, even though its not ours.. lol.
i can't believe we actually managed to keep the friday get-togethers going for two years.. every friday without fail man. i say thats some commitment. haha
then off to thursday, down to klang for bak kut teh with college mates. and doood, it was goooooood bak kut teh. esp the dry bak kut teh, which is like a klang specialty. (sorry, forgot to take pictures again, maybe W has some) then we went to pyramid to hang out, monster house is a pretty good movie. i loike it. then met up with jun aaaaaaand spent like thurday night, friday and saturday with jun. was our 8th month on sat :D so WOO HOO ! we went down to kl, went around klcc and bukit bintang.. had dinner with his friends at alexis, atmos there is so awesome! gonna take u bebehs there wei! really good live band (girl singer too) and people there actually sang along. food's pretty good too (a lil overcharged) but it all adds up to a good night out.
sunday! went to alamanda (finally!) with W, P, Jun, Foo THE ASSWIPE (he keeps calling me the B word in his blog, so yeah :/) and Geney. well, the asswipe will prolly do a whole post with loads of pictures, coz u know he just will. haha. so check out his blog.. took us bloody long to find alamanda, and we were freakin hungry that we were getting a lil grumpy. hehe.. the buildings there are awesome, and the roads, so CLEAN that u wouldnt mind rolling around on them. haha. but damn those traffic lights, their everywhere! go like 100 m, and there's a traffic light, another 150m, and there u go, another one. lol. buuuut, almanda was a super let down. basically it consist of 2 floors. TWO ! LG AND G. pah! nothing much there.. food wasnt that good too, or prolly cause we couldn't find any of the restaurants and settled for the food court. its like we would follow the sign pointing straight, till we'd reach the end of the building and then you'll be wondering if the arrow is actually pointing straight or up. so we went up, no restaurants there, went forward, no restaurants there. its like they all were freaking non exsistant! and u know where they were all at ?!?!?! OUTSIDE! yeah, we sat down at the food court and ordered food and i was looking outside and i saw the restaurant we were looking for in the first place aaaaaaaaaaaall the way outside. crapshitaniajdpasjdasndlajsdasf. karma. was a nice road trip tho :) thanks to all who went, was kinda last minute, but yeah, thats us..
gonna check out celeb fitness with W tmr (hopefully gonna sign up there) hang out with the parents and get my car from the workshop. it's all better now. cost my dad a whooping RM860 :P i'll be sure to buy him a ferrari when im a rich CEO. koff.. and somehow everyone's got their results!!! i haven't received mine, poop. hopefully i'll get it tmr, if not i think it's just faith that i don't find out. wish me luck ;) tell ya what i get if its not tooooooo embarassing.
I've never noticed the odd things my mother says. Probably because after 16+ years of living with her, all those "odd" statements seem normal lol. Lately though, it seems kinda obvious 'cause Dave points it out. Then we're like, "Ohh yeaaah.. That is kinda weird." Like, for example, (redundant, yes, but whatever) we were driving home from a movie late last night (friday night movies. It's becoming a thing) and Dave notices we're out of gas. So she's goes, "Oh noo.. luckily, it's dark." So we went, "Uh.. So what if it's dark ?" Mom says, "So people won't recognize us when we're pushing the car." LMAO. Yes, her mind works in mysterious ways. Oh, wait, I have another story. Okay, Mom's pretty much over the whole 'housewife' thang. Ya know, cooking, cleaning, etc ( btw, I've created a chore chart so everyone pretty much helps out ). So a couple days ago, she was saying how it sucks that she has to make lunch everyday and she goes, in all seriousness, "Do we have to eat everyday?" So I went, "That's okay, Mom, we can starve." Huh. Well it's not that funny when I tell it. It's one of those 'you had to be there' moments. :D
Anyyywhooo.. I had orientation on the 24th. It's was kinda fun. Met a couple people - Deborah and Wendy. The funny part was that Deborah's Jewish, Wendy's Christian and I'm Muslim, lol. I feel like we should walk into a bar or something haha. Deborah's from Brussels (is that how it's spelt?) and has a reaaaaaaaaallly cool french acccent and Wendy's from Texas with no texas accent. Well, she does say Y'all. Sooo.. anyway, we hung out for a bit, talked a whole lot (told them about W and C ;) ) and ran into this cute Brazillian guy. I met him a couple days before and he's nice. Really friendly lol. Wendy gave him her number( via me, of course. Is this how girls in the U.S operate ? lol. So not my thing) and they went out yeterday. Ohhh. Just remembered I'm supposed to call her to ask how it went.
Oh hey, we're looking at paint chips to figure out what colour to paint my room. Any suggestions ? (W + C)
Aaaaand.. I think we should add an explanation about the colour of the text in the About Us section. Something like
- Green - W
- Blue - C
- Purple - N

0 comments Published by sonkey mpankers on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 8:27 AMbeen desperately trying to get the hols to end by doing just about, oh.. EVERYTHING. sad huh ? i guess im just so bored.. it's as if everyday is (almost) becoming somewhat ROUTINE-like. and you know how much i hate that.. so this is how my average holiday day goes:
alarm rings, really early. (psfht, yeah.. i dont even get to sleep in :/). go out. run errands; example: pay bills, gets crapos, go to the post office, go to the bank. fix tv. fulfill duties which [apparently] any good/obedient eldest daughter should by being dad's PA/ mom's shopping buddy/driver. escape by heading to nearest mall. browse. window shop. walk around. find an excuse to walk around even more. pick and/or send wei to and/or from.. where ever (class, school, dentist, friend's etc..). come home. watch a teenybopper drama series. KO.
hmm.. and i thought i had a few more good years before the whole responsibility and "being an adult" thing kicked in.
bah.
I know that it's wrong to complain. I mean, everyone's gonna have to grow up sometime soon right? responsibilities.. part and parcel of life ? yadda yadda.. but I need this. ranting. It's like a sort of outlet for me. Remember therapeutic? :)
im so gonna kick myself for thinking this but i kinda miss college. yeah, um.. even all that college stress. You know.. worrying about due dates, presentations, um. parking ? .. and all that jazz. god, the loser-ness of me. haha! Though, It beats having to line up at the market behind assholes/getting stuck in traffic on the way to the bank. Ugh. I'd stick with school.
Anywho! I've got the list of songs you need to make the.. (in my opinion) PERFECT mix CD of the month for driving around/chilling out to/whatever.

XOXOXOXOXOXOo wen
saw nacho libre.. was pretty funny. i liked it..
so me and Jun were watching it in those twin seats at the back of the cinema and these two men dressed in office clothes sit in the two seats next to us. Jun pratically turned and looked at me in the weirdest way, imposing that maybe they were gay. the minute they sat down, they were laughing like crazy and darn loud too. it was pretty funny seeing both them grown men, sitting in twin love seats, laughing like they were watching the funniest movie ever made.
pictures for your thoughts :)
i want one!

1 comments Published by sonkey mpankers on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 4:39 AMDid I tell you guys about our neigbour Ben ? Reel your tongue back in, he's not the 'hot neighbour' type. He's a kid. And not a particularly pleasant one :P
i just saw a movie with jared padalecki or dean as we like to call him, and he wasnt the main cast, but i was suprised to see him there. haha. the main actor was dennis quaid and there was the guy who played pheobe's (frm friends) brother. yeah , that kinda weird looking guy. and he had blonde hair and he played the controlling guy who turned out to be really smart (he planned how to build an aeroplane out of their aeroplane which crashed in the desert) yeah , who would have guessed he'd play a role like that. he usually plays the goofy guy or smth.. haha. so yeah, that movie was pretty interesting.. ending was a happy one, where the plane took off and they all lived.
so okay. more randomness to come. keep on coming back people, or more like W and N.
lovey dovey you ho's !
Omg you're first accident ! Thank God for seat belts. Damn cabbies. What'd your daddy say ?
I was just thinking about Cal's zebra shirt and shiny raincoat pants. LMAO. Do we have a picture of that ?
So.. college starts in a couple weeks. Wish me luck. I had to go through all kinds of tests. The latest one included an essay about the play difference between Babie dolls and baby dolls. So, naturally, I wrote about normal stuff.. ya know, like, Barbies promote the superficial views of society, putting pressure on the younger generation to shape themselves according to the "ideal" body, making disorders like bulimia and anorexia common in this modern day and age. Stuff like that. Damn, feels like I'm back in school already.
A couple days ago, we went to dinner at the Strables' (this really cool German family) and I hung out with Anna (a German exhange student) and we got to talking. Found out we have pretty much the same taste in guys lol. Anywayy.. where she comes from, the kids (meaning, ppl our age :P) are divided into Tokio Hotel (German rock band) fans and fans of some Blue-type boyband. Plus, tattoos and piercings are pretty common. Yum. What is it about the bad-boy thing that is so damn appealing ? lol. Okay, it's hot if it's not too extreme. I draw the line at eyeliner :P Notice how the word GERMAN is in every sentence ? Since Dave (figured I'd have to drop the "uncle" sometime, so I'm working my way up to it. First cyberspace, then real-life. Verbally.) lived in a Germany for awhile, he feels a deep love for all things german and instantly bonds with German and german-speaking people alike. Yes, that man has issues but who doesn't ? I, for example, feel very deeply about sushi. And cats. And babies. And cats that have babies.
So, baby girls, have fun during your break. And plan the end of the year trip. We could do something really cool.. ski even. Losta love from your relocated best friend.
LET'S START WITH THE GOOOOOD NEWS !

i'm thinking of going for a haircut sometime soon. i have lion hair now and that's NEVER a good thing. so, the big question here is short or LONG ????
it's mid length now (i think?) so should i chop off my hair like how i'd normally do it (yawn) ORRRRR should i leave it be and let it grow into an unmanagable mess of tangled-ness ?? ...yes, this IS indeed one of life's most arduous questions. oh dear, what ever will i do ??
get back to me on this yes ?
oh, and before i go.. im gonna leave you all with this intriguing and somewhat disturbing excerpt of my biology book. enjoy !
The couple are clearly interested in each other. He caresses her with one
tentacle, then another- then another and another. She reciprocates with a hug
here, a squeeze there. This goes on for hours. Finally the male reaches under
his mantle, a tissue fold that drapes around most of his body. He removes a
packet of sperm and inserts it into an egg chamber under the female's mantle.
For every sperm that fertilizes an egg, a new octopus may develop.

Meiosis)
hehe. get this book. it's really quite enjoyable.

0 comments Published by sonkey mpankers on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 8:12 AMso, yesterday was the last day of my first college semester.. finally a break after 4 whole months of college. yeah, it's actually been that long. FOUR months. feels as if i bloody slept through it or something.
shish kabob !
anyway, WOOOHOOO tis the HOOoOoLidaYAyyyyAYyAyyayYAyssSSS ! so, i made a list of things to do. it's bloody long though so i wont type it out. yeah.
went to hilton KL a few days ago for a lunch buffet with dad and sis. these are just some of the things we ate. mm.. nyum nyum.. :
lol. Anyway, Texas is killer. Literally. Just today, I saw a rotting raccoon in the middle of the road, belly up. Five minutes later, I saw a dead pigeon on the pavement.
Sooo.. college starts in month. Imma taking English, U.S History, Psychology, Drama and my all-time fav subject - Math. I swear that subject was designed to torture little freaks like me. I'm nervous, a little anxious, and kinda nauseous.
On an unrelated subject, Robert just left today. It was nice having him around. I'm not the oldest anymore. Didn't quite manage to go to six flags though. But hey, he's pretty cool as older brothers go. ;) Even though he did tease me couple times about hooking up with John two years ago. Life Lesson #14 - never, EVER hook up with your brother's friend or you'll never live it down. Ever. But I'd make an exception for Daniel haha. Haven't seen him in 2 yrs though so I might just be basing this juvenile crush on 90% fantasy. Anywhoo.. yeah, Robert's gone and I'm older-brotherless yet again.
And, yeah C, Meg cabot wrote all the Medium books we read :P
Hey Gene ! *big smile*
I've got chocolate-chip cookies in the oven and they're almost ready. Salivating right now. bbl.
annnnnd another thing. hahah . ye fu sent me this funny msg in friendster. "hey long time no see ya, write me a testi leh.....i hear that u got boy friend liao wo, i more handsome than him lah why don choose me leh, just kidding lah now i am still single leh cham......." hahahahahaha. typical ye fu.
i tell you, im so "ketinggalan zaman". i havent been shopping in ages (well,it feels like ages), havent watched a movie in decades (last movie was ummm, tokyo drift? lol.) so yeah, this holiday is all about catching up. haha. with people too ! and since there's this promo thing for fitness first (remember our free trial, N?- pah..) which is like you pay 25 bucks and get to use everything for a month (like jun said " you can drink 100,000 bottles of 100plus and it'll still be RM25" lamo) but it seems like a pretty good deal to me, so me and W have decided to go on a gym frenzy for three weeks (the span of our holiday), so we dun get overweight.. haha
ya noe what, is the meg cabot "the mediator" series the same as the ones we read N? when did she ever write "the mediator"? i always thought it was jenny carroll..
oh yeah, that day i went to OU with my dad cause he wanted to get some stuff for his new car (yeah, another one. the man cant stop) and in the middle of the mall, ya noe where they usually have something going on.. there was like a huge shoe sale. i felt the twitch and the urge to go shopping so badly.. but being the very highly will-powered me, i controlled myself and told myself after the finals.. after the finals. haha. so now, shoes.. here i come. hopefully there's smth nice in there.. i've totally worn out my sandals from singapore.
so.. me and W have chosen to take public speaking and history for our next sem.. wish us luck, heard frm W the history teacher is a hard ass. he'll lock u outta the class if ure late.. and some other mean stuff that he has the power to do.
oookay, so i cant think of anything else to blog about.. i suck at blogging, this is why i dun blog! AhhAhAhHaAhHahAhHaHAhAhAhHahHahHAHAhHAhAhahahHahhahA.
bye.
Remember, remember the 5th of November

Yau, I now understand why you were crazy about V for Vendetta. It's a really good movie. Watched it on dvd yesterday with Robert, John and his girlfriend, Kensey. (Kensey.. that's a nice name isn't it ? It would it sound good as a middle name. But spelled Kenzie, instead. ) Went to 3 places before we found a dvd store that was open at 1 a.m. Scratch that, Kroger's isn't a dvd store.. more like a huge grocery store that sells everything lol. Remember, remember, the 5th of November.. hmm.. wonder whose birthday that coincides with ;)
lol dunno. Felt like it. The urge comes and goes. Kinda like the flu. More to come, so keep your eyes peeled.
lucky for him, there are still nice people around who'd actually stop and help. guess they felt pretty bad for him too. YAY ! for the good samaritans of the world.. ! (and no, i wasn't one of them that day. so boo, im still nice. :) )
for some reason, i actually thought that that was a very kodak moment.. ha ha. i mean, imagine papers swirling about in the sky (which was also abnormally blue that day) and the road completely paved in white sheets. to add to that, my burnt mix CD was playing imogen heap's - speeding cars. eheh. her songs can really tug at your heartstrings sometimes. maybe i was feeling pretty optimistic that day.. ? usually i'd not notice things like this or even give it any thought. oh, the emo-ness in me grows like a tumor.
btw.. what's with the sudden free verse-ing anyway N?
6 more days of exams to go. oh man. kill me bloody, kill me.
yet you fall prey to the
most typical suffering that plagues
the rest of the female
population.
Why defy the norm ?
Join the chick wagon
On a totally unrelated matter, I've decided to take pre-law. Having a purpose, being able to take the courses I enjoy, with a higher purpose in mind.. the feeling is unbelievable. Freeing, even. Like I'm not randomly blowing through life anymore. The deciding factor - loving how those lawyers party ;) . That, and the ancipation of having my heart ripped out so I can unfeelingly manipulate the law to defend the rights of clients who are probably guilty of whatever despicable crimes they're accused of, with money as my sole incentive. LOL. yeah, I can see myself as lawyer material. Can't you ? uhm. Don't answer that.
