THAT, is how long i took to drive over to the laundromat, find parking, have a quick chat with penne (laundry lady), grab the two coat jackets, walk over to the nearest supermart to pick up a few household essentials, take said collected/purchased items home.. then drive to the guitar store for lessons. all done, done and done in just under 25 minutes. really, i timed.. or more like my oversized ass ter-triggered the phone timer. hrm, i think i might have set a record of some sort ey? bwahahah!

reached the guitar store a bit too early so i watched a bit of jurassic park with the kiddies. and beecher.

beecher: ouuh eeer.. what's thaaattt?? *points at image of brown pile on the tv*
roly-poly kid: a mountain of dirt..
me: eh.. i dont think it's dirt la..
know-it-all-kid: oh, i knowwwww ! it's a big DEEEERRRTTYY dinosaur poo-pooooo!

class was fine though. keng's teaching me bossa nova. direct translation: wave new. it's really quite fun and a change from the classical stuffs. new to bossa? well, have a listen then. anyway, i hear that the bossa/jazz scene is getting pretty big in KL lately. imagine hearty meals accompanied by soothing jazz instrumentals/vocals at a dim lighted, cosy setting. man, does it get better than that??!

went for art right after and i got to try my hand at portrait sketching. a failure, obviously. my proportioning and crosshatching techniques suck quail eggs. damnations. but john, being john was all.. "oh, it's actually a really good first attempt kid, blablabjakbalbjbjal" . gah. why does that not make me feel better? :/
