Funny, that's how I felt when I first got to Texas. Ever notice how many conversations revolve around nothing? And you don't really notice until you have a substantial conversation. It's like someone wakes you up and you realize you've been asleep. I know it all sounds oh so melancholy but it's true. Here's a statement you wouldn't expect from me- it's okay that most of us, yours truly included, have endless conversations revolving nothing. It makes us appreciate the substantial conversations even more.

So what's new yall?
WELL, Farberware's closed and I worked a Ann Taylor for a little bit but decided it just wasn't for me. So I'm hangin out at the moment, playing chauffeur to my brothers while mom and Dave are out of town, so I don't have time for a job right now anyway.

Other than that, Jo hasn't been in the picture much, he's been acting shady so it wasn't something Lauren and I wanted to deal with. To cut through all the drama? He's been lying about the weirdest shit and then some money went missing.. It just wasn't adding up. So, I don't know if we'll ever be on the same terms but.. here's to Jo. Hope you find your way.

okay, finally after 2 months of searching for jobs, i got offers.
not one, but two jobs. within two days.
life works in funny ways.

thinking about taking both cause the schedule they offer just fits so damn perfect,
one is in the mornings on weekdays and the other is on tues&thurs nights and weekends.
im pretty much relaxed in school cause im only taking 12 credit hrs.
and here it ain't alot. most people take 16 credit hrs.
im only taking 12 cause my residency rates havent kicked in yet.
have to prove i've been living here for a year before i qualify.
so it would be such a waste to spend thousands of dollars on subjects i can take for only hundreds.
big difference here for my dad, whose paying. haha
so this year im just gonna do 12 credits a sem and chill all summer.
i won't be lazing all 3 months, i would die of boredem, gonna be working, hence the job search now.
and hopeful i'll get to spend some time with my favorite people here :)
the extra money will be good to finance this plan.
and next year i'll go crazy and do 16 credits a sem, summer school and an internship.

sounds like a do-able plan to me. plus the extra $$ dont hurt :D

i am excited.

this isnt a sure plan. gonna see how the next 2 weeks go and see if i die of exhaustion.

Oh hey I might transfer to Syracuse University this fall. I just don't know if I can deal with the cold weather.. Upstate New York's really purrrty though so that's some compensation. No more shorts and tshirts, it'll be coats and layers.. :/

So, my revelation of the week? Women have powers of manipulation like you won't believe! I didn't even believe it.. and I'm a girl. I checked. i can't sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep..

u know, i haven't been able to sleep early since arriving here. i usually sleep at like 1 or 2. even if i've woken up at 7am.. its weird, seriously.

and i looooooooove streeeeeeaming.
and free dvd rentals.

haha, i have caught up on the many many many many years of gilmore girls. watched 2 seasons already okay. so fkin addictive. down to the last season which im streaming now. and i'm planning to watch prison break&heroes. yeah, okay i know, so damn outdated, everybody loves heroes, i know. now its my turn to love heroes :) no spoilers please, tho i kinda know a few already. oh well. and ive started to watch this new series samantha who? its by cecelia ahern. hahahaha, i know u love ps i love you, pin. btw, they have that in movie now. and samantha who? is sooooo fkin funny and witty and my new love. go watch! go to abc.go.com.

well, the new eps for the other shows are only gonna start airing in april, with the writer's strike already over. so for now gotta get my dose of tv series somehow.

Today is Aunty Cate's 1 year Anniversary since her passing.
For those who do not know, Aunty Cate is Jun's mom.

Even though I only knew her for a year, she always made me feel right at home.
She would always ask me to come over to their house and just spend time, she liked it when there were a lot of people in the house.

I remember clearly all those nights when we would go out for supper, all the times that I sent and followed her to church, all the holidays and family outings she invited me on, the time when I was at home alone with her and she took out her photo album to show me the best times of her life and all her advice and well wishes.
One thing I cherish the most is her weekly text messages with quotes from the bible or simply her own words. I still keep every one of them in my phone.
All these things seem so recent, but it has already been a year.

I'm thankful I got to know her.

I hope that she is no longer suffering and is among the angels in heaven, as she believed in that after life.

kay, so i've been in US for 22 days now. a week more, and it'll be a month, so fast :) i'm getting used to the weather, school's starting to get hectic, going job hunting this week (hope i'll get something, soon) and am looking for a club/society to join for the next 2 yrs or so.

so yeah, this is my place for the next 4 months. its not as crammed as it looks, lotsa walking space in between. pretty cozy. the other girls on the floor are pretty nice, decent, no wild drunk bitches or anything, so all is good in life :)
the campus is not super huge cause its in the middle of downtown, the longest it takes to walk somewhere is prolly 15 mins? and downtown has a whole lot of restaurant, nightclubs and businesses. no shopping mall :( but i guess thats good, i have no control. the mall is a bus away

and i miss home already :/ yeah, everyone prolly knows that by now. haha. i miss my family aloooot, didn't think i'd miss em this much so fast. i think its cause im not used to being this far away from my parents. and of course i miss jun like craaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzy!! and i miss the boys. the boys who are the only people who read our crap. haha.
and i miss the N and Y. u guys never pick up the phone, u guys don't deserve phones. haha

gonna have some CNY gatherings next week, so will post smth abt that, i guess.
don't have a cam yet,thinking of getting one sometime next month, see if i get a job first ;) but its pretty cheap here, can get a gd one for a $150-200..

it's friday night peeepls and thank god for that!

first week of school's been exciting enough and im guessing this is how it's gonna be for at least a few months. like the other day, i was so psyched to reheat my store bought chicken noodle soup. that's cos the noodles come in star shapes and everything. very cute and super YUMMY. but am still not too sure why i felt so happy.

hungry perhaps? go figure.

well, today was taco & tequila night. ann's friday night tradition maybe? anyway, she invited a few people over and all, seemed like pretty fun guys. but i didnt stay anyway cos i had to go out to get books with arianne, mandy and all. it's been a week of school and i haven't gotten all the books on my syllabus yet! (which is really freaking me out i guess). had to take a bus and walk 5 blocks to get there. expectedly, when i got to the bookstore at dinkydome it was closed. shops close early in spring cos of the cold and all. walked all that way for balls. lmao. bugger it.

then kia called. the malaysian senior who's been a big help to mandy and i all this time. he picked us up from there then we rounded up a few other people and went to kowloon chinese for dinner. besides being just a few blocks away from my place, it's also the best chinese food around. love the tofu there! mmm.. :)

think we ate for a whole 2 hours before we left. got home to beer cans, pita wraps and shot glasses. the party must have moved elsewhere i think. so we watched juno which was totally weird cos the setting was at minnesota and all. ooh, i think bleeker has sexy legs btw. haha.

You refuse to pick her up saying the car cannot be abandoned. Said daughter waits for over an hour, frantically trying to call the anyone and everyone in the household to no avail. Finally realizing she's not getting any help from home front, she calls her friend who drives 20 minutes to pick her up. Said friend takes her home to get that tank of gas, pours the gallon of gas that's left, only to realize the battery died so he jump starts her car then drives it to get filled. All this while your mechanically inept daughter stands idly by trying not to get in the way of saviorism in the process. When your daughter goes out to dinner with said friend to thank him, you complain that she's never with her family enough.

Understandably, your daughter would be thinking, What the fuck?

Finals week is overr! Thank God. Not that I've got much down time :( Farberware's closing so we've been pretty busy with that, then the fam's heading to Florida frm the 22nd til New Year's Day which sucks cuz that means I won't be in Dallas for Xmas or New Years.

Anyways, tonight is Leah's 21st Birthday and she's one of my close friends here, she's throwing a party in Denton about an hour away so Laur, Breaune, Brandon and I are going, it'll be an all-nighter then we'll head back in the morning cuz I've got work at 12pm! Since it's her 21st, Rylie -her boyfriend and our close friend- shipped in a couple bottles of Absinthe so it should be interesting lol.

I realized I didnt show you what my room looks like! I havent taken pics of the whole room, so for now, just the walls? :) I LOVED painting it.. You know how I am, it was mostly very what-i-feel-right-now and I made it mixed media, adding pictures of my life- of you all and stuff here, and the desk cover I salvaged from my Form Five days<3
The lady in red I painted because it's what I felt at the time, it was/is a representation of passion i guess.. vibrantly RED.. and I added the dark shadows to it to not only because the figure demanded it but cuz I like a bit of a dark edge to everything.. my life, my book, my music, my clothes..

The Poetry.. of course, is my own. I didnt paint the whole piece on the wall but I intend to continue it on a different wall. The painting below the butterfly- C, Y, remember that day in art class? lol I gotta say, we made alot of great shit in that class. esp nabz.

kay, so me & wen ( whose off at council camp now ) decided to start blogging. again. at first we said we were lazy cause we both do about the same thing everyday, with some variation, so like damn got nothing to blog about la. buuut, now since its the hols, we'll be doing more interesting stuff than going to college and the gym. but here's the catch, we decided to take turns to blog what we do (cause we do alot of the same thing) , as our main purpose is to fill nabz in. and so nabz, u will have to return the favor too :)

So 2 accidents in 2 weeks, lovely. The first one was on the night of Jonah's party. I was driving to the Shops of Legacy to pick up Jonah's birthday present- a bottle of Disaronno. I almost made it. Keyword- almost. Speed demon that I am, I took a turn way too fast and ended up slamming into the curb, blowing out both tires on the right side of my car and screwing up the alignment. Bravo. Now, THIS I freely admit was all me, totally my fault, I was an idiot.

This next accident however was not on me. There I was, turning onto Spring Creek heading for campus, STAYING IN MY DAMN LANE, when this chick slams into me. Would've been nice she had come at me from the passenger's side instead of scaring the shit out of me by slamming into my side. End result? A bashed up door and missing class. Lovely.

so the college board approved our proposal for a new club. this wednesday on, i'm gonna vice the Science and Mathematics Society. phie's the chairperson and we've got about 22 people in on it already. ooh char's secretary btw.

well i think it's gonna go alright. if we follow through with the activity plan, that is. according to the itinerary, we get to go on these interesting excursions/hikes and do all kinds of experiments. and it looks good on the testimonials so that's a plus.

hello! RIGHT. this post is totally dedicate to and just for Tristin Shanley Hsu. ya huh. ThhHhhaaaattt's rigghhtt! this IS in fact one of those zomg-shit-oh-no-not-one-of-those-aAaaAAaarrggh-my-eye-SoOocketsSsS kinda posts that people find real icky and eww and disturbing and.. uh. stuff. i think besides the good company, another one of my fonder school memory would be the after school buying of food from those snack vendors that park outside. you know, the ones that sell all kinds of keropoks, munchies, sweets and such usually after 3 in the afternoon? yeah.. char and i got ourselves ice-cream when we went to pick wei up today. had myself 3 scoops of neopolitan ice-cream wedged between a hot-dog bun. mmmm.. sweeet gooodness. yum. i loike breaded ice cream. :)

random fact? neil armstrong ate some neopolitan ice cream when he went into space in July 1969.

yup. after over a decade of beef fasting i'd finally gone and took the plunge. i hath taken the life of a cow.

so we went over to carl's today.. wei's been talking about it for days and i DID say i'd try my first beef there (yeah, what the heck right?) . ordered myself a huge ass portebello mushroom beef burger. the guy taking my order recommended it and it's not like i know any better so yeah. the experience was quite odd really. didn't know beef tasted so minced.. kinda like grinded meat bits. though i imagined it a whole lot differently really. i thought it'll be this juicy slab of thick-ish meat you'd have to chew your way through. (or is that steak??) oh well. personally, i'd take a chicken burger any day. wei says it's not as good as the one in spore so guess i'll just hold off any burger judgments till i've tasted more of em. hehe. :)

Lauren and Jonah just moved into a new apartment and it's gorgeous! I've been over there ALOT and we had a little house warming thing yesterday night. hahah Of course, grocery shopping was last on their list so we were diggin on ice cream cake and drinking water. Somehow we ended up re-enacting Laur's cheerleading days LMAO. Guess who the flyer was? :P And I flew high too. Jimmy and Brandon threw me like there was sky above us, not ceiling. Anyways, it was fun, playing games, dancing, just.. hanging out. Jonah brought his new boy and we love him, he's gorgeous and fun. And caught me when I fell ;)
So, stay tuned for more. Some family time is due then maybe a white trash themed party on Thusday. Guess we'll see, huh? I've planned out my next semester's schedule, pretty excited about it. Comparative Religion, Abnormal Psychology, Human Sexuality, World Literature, and ughh College Algebra. Wish me luck!

Holaaa! So we're back where we started.. Vermont. I'll be here til the 12th because I can't leave work for long but the rest of the family will he here for the rest of the month. We spent a couple days boating by Rhode Island with some family friends then made the 5 hr drive to Vermont in this monstrous minivan we've named The Eggplantmobile mostly because of its colour and overall ick-appeal. It should really be put down.. by the end of my stay I'm thinking I'll drive it into a tree :)

Okay, so.. truth? I ended up dating Barth[olomew] again but he didn't change so it didn't last haha. I know what you're thinking, I'm flaky when it comes to guys. Well, I'm thinking that too. What can I say, except, I seem to attract jerks. They're nice at first but sooner rather than later their real nature comes out. I'm sure they're great guys.. just not great to date. Robert's wondering how the hell I pick these guys hahah.. Okay, so maybe these Plano guys are too caught up in the partying and hooking up scene. And that's definitely not for me. And so, my lovelies, I mourn the death of chivalry.. I miss you all. I miss the values too ;) So lets all cross our fingers and wish for the resuscitation of chivalry, alright?

I'm transferring out of Collin County in the Spring so I'm thinking I'll apply to U of Texas, Texas State, USC, and a couple other schools out in Cali. I know there's no way I can stay in Plano for another full year. Don't get me wrong, it's fun, crazy fun.. but school-wise, life-wise.. I gotta embrace reality. And Quad C, I'm starting to realize more and more, is a waystation, NOT my final destination.

So, as promised new updates. I'm still working on getting back home, keep your fingers crossed! Things are pretty good right now with a few minor bumps, but otherwise, it's pretty fun. Classes are out! I'm working about 20 hrs a week which is pretty good cuz it's not too much and there's still alot of free time to chill.. oh wow, last week at Karma was fucked, first time ever Lauren's ID didn't work for me hahah. It's cool though, we ended up having fun anyways at Purgotory. No summer classes for me! Just did Maymester and I'm math-ed outttt right now. Gotta start thinking about next sem's courses though. Environmental Science was pretty good maybe I'll follow up on that.. and definitely more Psychology courses.

Okay so.. the following picture is of the latest in a string of bad choices lol. This one's mainly for Char since we were just talking about him on the phone today. I don't what went wrong, kid. Thought he was issue-free but guess not. It was fun hangin out though. He got to know my family and my friends here, Lauren, Breaune, Deborah, Leah and Jonah.. also known as the Scandalous 5! (Scandalous 6, including me. hahha don't mock me, I didn't come up with it) And he's a pretty good dancer haha.. kept up with me when I went reeeeeeeeal low. that was fun.

so, for today's post im planning to be as informative as i can. can ya tell?

geez, my nose itches.

heh. guess i should start with what the hell have i been up to these days. this should be the longest i've gone without posting in. i think? hahaha. well anywho. my skin feels like plastic today. just got back from redang and all i got was this sunburn. lol. it's healing alot faster than the last burn i got though. remember sabah nabz? that sucked so bad. owie.

redang was awesome though. it was just seven of us. me, char, juhilli, trist, najie, phie and elaine. i'd post up pictures but i don't have em with me. it's all with kak juhilli and she's gone to mecca so i guess i'll just have to wait till she gets back which is like in a week or so i reckon. lol. long sentence.

yeah, so back to the trip. seven of us and we stayed at the redang reef resort. which was really not too bad. chalet/dorm room style with buffet meals at accorded times. i kinda liked the food, brings back inai memories.. but that's just me. ha ha. we got two rooms; a quad and a triple sharing room. but we all ended up bunking in the quad la. doi.

snorkeled and sunbathed a whole lot while we were there. it was my first time snorkling so that was pretty exciting. we had this same guy, amir, as our instructor through out our trip. mildly perky fella and he talked a whole lot. real nice dude though. anyway, they'd boat us to these areas away from the island to snorkel and play. the waters were especially nice and warm and the best part was that it didn't rain at all while we were there. feels good to get away from the rain. though i think i got a little bit too much sun. dang.

ooh, and i soo so love LORve LoOove the coral beds. it's so huge and pretty! looks as if each coral has been strategically stacked onto one another; as if it's been nicely fitted there on purpose. totally mesmerizing. the waters thrived with all sorts of life like fishes, anemones, sponges, ~~eels, turtles, sharks and whatnots.. ., . real fascinating finds. and er, stuff. rea- ..~~ okaay finnee. so i didn't exactly see sharks and i only saw like one turtle and an eel. but that's cos i missed the last snorkling session. the heat really got to me. only elaine went for that one cos the rest just wanted to roll about on the sands. elaine loved it though. she said it looked like the stuff you'd see on national geographic.

aaaaah shish kabobs.. bloody ah moi.

um. at least i got to see fishies. the fishies kept swimming through my toes and sucking at them. the sucking was a bit geli la but they don't bite so that's okay. :) swimming really gets me hungry. so i think i ate a LOT while i was there. i'd eat or snack every time we'd get back from the beach. yum.

we stayed out frolicking and lazing by the beach until late then head on back when the sun had set. at night it was BBQ dinners and games. hm. we played all kinds of dumb ass games while we were there in fact.. like card games, uno, mahjohng, beach volley ball, tag, phrase from a movie, pepsi cola, twisterrrr haha. ZOMG! twister was so dungu. i'll post up the pictures when i get em okay. most of em include me sticking out my ass. not very pretty. but i won once so YEAH BABEY..,

they had karaoke there too. we'd have gone karaoke-ing but day one really knocked us out (travelling and waking up early to catch the flight) and people got to it first on day two. lol. so there's that. so we went to this club by the beach and ran around instead la. lol. i loike the night breeze and shooting stars. :)

but that's just me.

on the last day we got up extra extra early to watch the sunrise. like 6am early. yeah, that's really early for a holiday okay. at first the sky was just dim. splashes of pale blue, light oranges and reds.. then round 6:30 it got a bit brighter.. you could actually see a bit of light peeking out of the clouds. i saw this one cloud that resembled a three-eyed octopus sticking out its tongue in a somewhat mocking manner. yes, the clouds there were much expressive. I think someone snapped that one.

oh and of course we took this opportunity to cam whore. Like a whole lot. Like 400++ a lot. Rofl.. snapped a lot of pictures then. ish, i really need to get my hands on them pictures. So the sun came out at 7:15 so we couldn't look at the sky anymore. went over to the breakfast buffet then back to our rooms; showered, packed and headed back to terengganu by boat. the same way we came, of course. then from there we caught a plane back to kl.

sigh, i miss the beach already. i'd like to own a holiday house by the beach. or maybe my own resort in the Maldives.. mm.. actually any other nice beach wouldn’t matter really.. awesome. Char and I had so much fun while we were there. guess if you go anywhere with good friends you'll always manage to have a good time right? ahah. we so need more mamak sessions mannnn. you'd really like them nabzy, they're real fun. :)

so that’s redang. And im so tan now that it pisses my mom off. Ho ho.

Total damage: RM270 + RM50 (snacks, rentals, etc;) + sunburnt shoulder blades.

kay, i know i've been like super MIA. haha. but man was this sem long and busy..

so i'll just like start updating whatever i remember. (ps.its gonna be quite looong)

first there was this thing called C-RAZE that me and W entered with a whole bunch of other people. its like a amazing race thing. we had to race all around kl, pj and subang. doing tasks and all sorts. lemme see what i can remember.. we put together 2 teams. we were given 15 bucks, thats all. W hid some money in her car. haha, and they didnt take away my team's smart tag, woo hoo !

team 1, which we named silly ! consisting of elaine, najlaa, me and zuhaili

and

team 2, which we named billy ! consisting of tristin, wen, wan ling and jason

we started off from INTI College in subang, went to a apartment building right opposite, then off to klcc park, where we had to stop a stranger and ask him/her to so some exercise with us for 5 minutes? haha. my team, silly's, being so excited by the first task just started jogging with this mat salleh dude, and he was like sure, if you guys can keep up. then the organizers started shouting at us to come back, cause we were only suppose to do exercises at the bridge area.

next, we headed down to bukit bintang, the clue lead us to the new automated smth smth toilet there. and we had to beg people for 4.99 exactly. luckily we were one of the first few there so people were nice enough to spare us some money. then we headed to petaling street. there we had to search for 2 people to get 2 clues. and we had a task to drink some bitter chinese tea thing.

najlaa so couldnt take it, she puked the drink out. haha

next was the first pit stop which was at lake garden. we were so fcking suprised that we were first when we reached there. we thought we were reaaaally far behind cause we left subang quite late. so woo hoo. silly's came in first and billy's came in second, at the pit stop that is. not bad not bad. the organizers said that they had just reached there and didnt expect any team to reach so early. so we were quite proud la. hahaha. so they extended our waiting time so everyone could finish eating.

and off we went to the istana negara. there, was when our good luck came to an end. fuck man, still not over it! haha. we were suppose to take a exact photo of an example given to us. everyone caught up to us there, and we had like a 45 min lead. felt really shitty. the guy just wouldnt let us go, saying we were 99% right like 50 times ! we were there for almost an hour and a half. and some tourist were like wondering why we all were snapping picture there thinking that it was like "the spot", so some of em just came and sat right in front of the spot we were taking a picture of and started snapping. gawd.

the cursed task

next was taman jaya park opposite amcorp mall. we had to like do a relay race on those massage stones in 100 secs. 4 people in a 100 secs. if we couldnt finish it we got another try, 130 secs. and if we couldnt complete that we had to do a whole jog around the park, while singing and dancing or you could just pick that. we did the massage rocks cause we wanted to make up time. first try, we were like 5 secs off. oh, yeah, we're allowed to bribe them for clues and stuff, its all for charity. so they said like 1 sec is 5 bucks. no way were we giving up our limited cash. so we just did it again and managed on time.

then off to a park in USJ 15? or smth like that. there we had to do another relay thing, around the park. first we had to catch grasshoppers. they bite! then we had to finish a piece of bread each in 60 secs and if we couldnt we had to eat 5 more, as a team. as thirsty as we were by then, the bread just wouldnt go down. then we had to eat things from 5 mystery boxes. if we manage to get a ping pong ball into a pail we could skip a few. we got none. haha. so we had to eat all 5. first was a packet of butter, the ones u get at restaurants, then wasabi rice balls, then some chicken gizards, pure lemon juice (with seeds and all) and celery juice with chili. shit man, the last one made me puke!

after all that, the next clue said we had to put together all the small pieces of souvenirs we had collected along the way. they were like these 1cm by 1cm pieces of paper which we didnt notice and had thrown away! hahahahaha. luckily billy's team had theirs, so we guessed what the picture was and it was INTI College. so baack there we went.. and we came in 4th! and 5th!
1st,2nd and 3rd got cash prizes :(

we got digi goodie bags (they were the main sponsor, we had to wear these digi shirts that said "ejen 007" at the back.. malu-nyer) and a hamper which we shared with everyone, even with the photog/camera men that followed us around in our car. yeah, there were cameramen who jumped into different cars to record the whole race. cool eh, will see if we get a cd.

the next day, we all ached like fck from the massage stones and all the running around. no food poisoning tho, thank god.

all in all, it was good fun. cept for that bloody task that made us lose our lead !!!! cbk. we had a philosophy mid term on monday, which almost made us not want to join. but we pulled through the stress and finals results should be out next week. we'll see if it was worth it then. haha

k, so seeing as this is pretty long already. haha, not gonna bore you guys with a super long post crammed with events from the past month or so, i'll just leave it as it is, and update the rest later. so you guys (if there is anyone out there) come back k?

So I thought this would be fun little entry

Lets start with something tame, shall we?
Okay, the first weird thing that comes to mind.. I sleep with Patrick every night. Yall know Patrick, the big red dog P gave me ages ago. Love him, can't sleep without him.
One of my favourite dishes is beef tongue! Chill, it's not like I devour it raw. I love when it's sliced up and cooked habatchi-style with onions or steamed and dipped in ketchup.. yummmm.
My eyes go WIDE when I sing in front of a crowd. Those of you who were in school with (and close to) me are probably chuckling cuz you're verrrrr-ry aware of this.
I like them boys with the piercings and a tat or too lol. Okay, if you didn't get that, then my humour -the little I've displayed in this sentence- is lost on you ;P Anyway, yeah, probably not the best taste in guys but gotta say, fun times though so no regrets, nada, cuz watching SPILL CANVAS LIVE WAS AMAZING! We're almost near the END. So, no. 5.. I read Twilight fanfiction! As justification, Stephenie Meyer just wasn't writing fast enough and like a junkie needing her next fix, I needed more material to read. Edward is exactly "my brand of heroin."
Finally, no. 6.. I'm a romantic at heart. Not those shallow kind of romances. When I say "I'm a romantic" I mean I believe in the genuine kind. The Edward and Bella kind (even though that kind of co-dependancy is waaay beyond unhealthy.) Weird. Especially in a world where a healthy dose of cycism is essential to self-preservation.. but yeah, I'm a romantic. I've tried denying it. I've always thought I was more.. sensible that that. But hey, who am I to fight my flow. Viva la romance!

Went with Melissa to watch Cirque Du Soleil : Corteo yesterday night and it was unbelievable! Everything was gorgeous - the costumes, the stunts, the acting, the dancers. Kinda makes me wanna join em, run away with the circus lol. Anyways we didn't get pics of the performance, what with the 'no cameras' rule but u know i always find a way to snap a pic or two ;)

yesterday we celebrated st. patrick's day at college. yeah, wouldn't know for the life of me what this day's all about though. it's prolly just one of those things to help integrate the americana culture into us AUP students i guess. that or just another money making scheme la. well, whatever it is.. for helping out with games, char and i get pretty certs!! and i get to add em to my somewhat empty folder. oh yay-ness.

tired faces at the end of the day. but it was all good fun. i got to play with Zuzu's purty Nikon D40. 'sides that, we managed to scrap up a whole bucket full of coupons and someone called me an enterprising buisness person. rofl. yeah, i feel good about our productive day yesterday.

Alriiiight we'll get down to the nitty-gritty. So, Valentine's Day! Lol not too bad.. Hung out with my Belgian Ballerina then Daniel came around for an hour. Yeaaah, Daniel. Again. What can I say, I guess I'm in the habit of recycling guys. No worries, loves, we're not dating. How can we be when he's Daniel ;P But I'm not gonna lie, he's there for me when I need him. Last weekend, my whole family went skiing so I was home alone.. Noooooo i didn't have a wild party, it was pretty mild ;)

But that's not my point. I had a huge exam at 8 a.m on Monday and had no ride to school. My parents weren't back yet and I really didn't wanna ask anyone to get up that early to pick me up, ya know ? So I was just gonna call a cab. Believe me, getting a cab is no casual feat as it is in Malaysia. 40% of time in Msia I got to where I wanted to go by cab. Unheard of here. Anywaaays, Daniel offered to drive me. See what I mean by being there when I need him? So it's all good.

okay, my dear N and Y know all the happenings. so there's really no need to update, but our blog looks so sad. one post a month .. ahahaha. and there's three of us here. so sad..

so, jun flew over to US, for about two weeks, he'll be back on the 4th. so there goes half my social life! hahahaha.. yes, im so sad.

oh yeah, i've been thinking what to do for my bday, since its like my 18th!!!! and prolly my last one here for a couple of years. haha. so yeah. i was kinda thinking to cater to all the ppl im thinking of inviting, there would be like dinner and then those who want to drink can go and drink and chill and those who arent really into that scene can just hang out. and ppl can leave whenever they want. haha. yes, sounds like a good plan. now, a venue..

well, ive been stuck at home.. i have an eye infection! eeeew, before u think its like some pus thingamajiggy and that my eye looks totally gross, its so not like that yo. it just looks swollen. hehe. so i think this would be my record for staying at home and not going out cept to buy food, which is 3 whole days !!! i've never felt so excited to go to coll. apart from the first day back, those are always fun when you've got the place figured out.

aaaaand, my future in the US of A is still uncertain.. dad says if he has the mojo (let's pray he does) i get to go, if not i get to stay here :/ or go to aus :/

hmm, what else? ive bonded with my couch real well thru the past 3 days, my bum sinks perfectly into it now. hahahaha. okay, so random.

and now everyone's like watching football cause there's man u vs ars and chels vs liv, if not their prolly watching ms.astro on wai lai toi. hahaha.

Hey kids, it's my turn to blog!

Just got back from Tahoe

I gotta say, I know I'm always begging the family to go someplace warm and sunny for winter vacay but Tahoe was amaaaazingly fun for a ski vacation. This year I decided to change it up and snowboard instead of ski.

Rebel against a whole family of skiers ;) Effin hell it's way harder than it looks but I kinda got the hang of it. Met two new people on the slopes - Leah who oddly is from Plano, Dallas, she lives like 5 mins away from me! How weird is that. And Jesus (pronounced Heh-Soos. LOL @ Charmaine) who was on vacation with his sisters. It took us forever to 'board down the mountain but it was an amazing ride down. I wiped out so many times it was crazy lmao. Soooo.. we were there with Aunt June, her bf and her kids. Cam's 10, Richard's 23, Chris is 20. Did I mention that there are NO female Resslers in the 3rd generation ? But anyways it was fun hangin out with the new cousins :)

So yeah, we grabbed my laptop and I showed him what I was into, introduced him to Malaysian hip-hop (Too Phat yo!) hahahah. He showed me a few of his fav bands, interesting stuff. It was a kickass new year's eve! Toasted the new year with the fam and chilled with Robert and Chris. We ended up drunk and playing Nintendo Wii. I think we have videos of that LOL we were so far gone it was hilarious. Anyways, we ended up wasted in the hot tub and mellowed out around 5. Call it family bonding. And we really did bond. Talked about everything, anything. I'll post more pics up later. Right now I need sleep. Much sleep.

harrrloooo..

well, the past 2-3 weeks have been a total blur.. passing all together in one go.

first was the langkawi trip (19th-22nd)
W already did that, thank goodness for that

24th (christmas eve), jun's bday thingy @ soda, hartamas

woooo ! we got there preeeetty early, if not his table booking would be cancelled.
picked up W and reached at about 8? or 9? had dinner at the square..
and jun being jun, just had to park jockey, for the world to see his sexy jazz..
we went in around 10? and only managed to get one table, when jun booked 2.
no biggie, then we had to buy drinks, which were so freakin unbelievably expensive.
3 bottles of black label ( not even 1litre) for RM1080. hahahaha.. and we just came back from langkawi where i bought jun a 1litre bottle for what? Rm70.
started out with drinking and chatting.. i was being the nice girlfriend that night and didnt drink so i could take jun's drunk ass back home safely :) as well as W's.
more ppl came around 11 and had the usual countdown, and then, the good stuff came on.
hahah, before that it was like me and W dancing.. and a few others.. very sad.
danced all the way to 2, sent W home with jun's friend, galvin (ya noe the drama, N)
then came back to soda, danced till4, then they were closing.
by this time jun was piss drunk and KO-ed.
got him home safely, helped him puke his guts out and off to bed.
he was feeling not too good the next few days.. but it was one hella 18th bday ;)

went to yippee cup to have a snack, that's where we kinda got together, so ya noe, we just had to go back. hahahaha. then went to watch cicakman! with brian & manda.
it sucked, realllly bad.. and jun just told me he wants to watch cicakman 2. uh huh.
then we walked around and went to ss2, this italian place, for dinner! ya noe the one we went to ages ago. had really good food..
and then, came back to my place, chilled, and he went home.

27th - 30th, bangkok w/ family

bangkok is so damn jam packed !
flight was delayed for 2 hrs ! so got there at night.

1st night
we watched a drag show, there was this one jap looking drag.. umm, person, who look so freakin hot.. daaaaamn pretty and super chun body.

2nd day
went on tour, we went to the floating market, saw a snake show, and a cultural show
i started getting the flu, which sucked real bad, cause we were on tour the whole day and i didnt have any meds.. just felt like sleeeeeping. but i enjoyed the places.

3rd day
went shopping @ siam paragon and had dinner on a boat cruise down chao praya river..

4th day
did more shopping and went off to the airport and did more shopping there too. haha.

31st, new year's eve @ eastin / the curve

me & jun stayed over at eastin pj. he's friends were suppose to stay too but they said they have no cash and didnt wanna pay for a room, so they didnt share. haha. more to us :)

so we waited for wen khai, mei ling, ah lik and chanel ( haha, her name is pronounced like the brand but i dunno the spelling, so to at least get the prounounciation right, let's just spell it like this) they came around 7 smth, waited for jun & mei ling to shower, then we decided where to have dinner. and, it was the hotel buffet! mmm mmm.. but it wasnt really good.
we had our whole worth of it though, sat there eating till 10! haha.
then we took cabs to the curve, cause it was so late and there prolly wasnt any parking.
got there at 1030, and met more of jun's friends.
they did some crazy shits, which we all do during new years. haha. so yeah, you guys know.
then we headed back to the hotel around 2-ish? got some snacks, they left.
we has room service.. mmm mmm.. and slumbered around 5?
yeah, the time factor is not much what i remember..
no pics, there's videos. but, i dunno how to load em. haha

and now, college is starting tmr. 3rd sem for us, gals.

it's christmastime now. 'tis the season when it sucks to be alone ey? hm.. so, do y'all get real warm and fuzzy all over or that urge to wring some jolly fella's neck? haha man i feel merry on the inside…

okay, so im not this bitter old scrooge. It’s just that i've always felt this indifferent towards christmas. it's a love/hate thing and.. we'll just leave it as that roight. :)

anywho. the holidays have been good. having oodles and poodles of FUN actually. i'm very much satisfied with how things went this hols. okay so here goes muchos picture updates! (trip photos only, for now.)

aunt edwina scored 4 free rooms in this johor hotel so she invited pa, wei and i to join her and the boys for a trip. had yumMeh bkt before we left. the ride to johor was soOooOo bloody long. me, pa and james(chong lin?ah lin?ROFL.) took turns on the wheel so it wasn't that bad. speeding along the highway was pretty fun for a bit.

plus, we also had the much needed sustenance that kept us a chuggin’!

we detoured to malacca since it was on the way. yeah, what the heck right? visited jonker st., best known for antiquing, one-of-a-kind goods and chicken rice balls! mmm.. i LOVE the historical feel and chillex vibe over at Malacca.

We reached johor pretty late so we had us a quick dinner, checked in the hotel then lights out. Driving really knocks you out goooood. Early next morning we had brekkie at a popular noodle shop. Had a bowl of johor specialty which is none other than the tantalizing LAKSA JOHOR. Heh heh. Slurp.

Drove over to spore right after. Things we did: eat, shop, eat, get lost, eat, sight see, get lost, eat, shop. Though I don’t think I bought much this time around. Shopped at the usuals. Taka, paragon, heeren, parkson, etc.. then, we went to this place called haw par villa just to see the 10 courts of hell. Back then it was a pretty freaky boat ride through this creepy tunnel but now it’s been converted into a walk through museum. Nonetheless, I think haw par villa’s still really weird.

Next day, Did much much more shopping. Ate a lot of laksa. Then aunt bought a whole lot of duty free crap at johor before we went back.

Was an okay trip. bought a few books, hair ties and junk. I had a good time but im still not too crazy about the hotel. Damn you paper thin walls!

7 of us went. Took a bus then was ferried over to langkawi. There’s a loooOoong detailed update abt this at brian’s blog so you could go check it out, N. But I’ll summarize anyway. :)

Day 1, was a total klutz. Everyone had a good laugh at my expense. Geez. dont think those losers are ever gonna let me live that day down. Thanks you guys, really. Roar. Rented a Toyota Unser from this shady looking character at kuala perlis. Yeah, he looked like he was gonna jump us.. just like something from the movies. Anyway, we slept a whole lot once we reached the hotel cos the journey to langkawi itself was damn bloody tiring. went down to the beach for a bit then had dinner at some mamak. Was total asshites.

Day 2, island hopping day. But before that, we had breakfast at the hotel. only had four b/fast passes though so three of us had to sneak in. of course. took a speedboat to an island that had this freshwater lake in the middle. Had to hike for a bit from the beach just to get to the lake. Oh and naturally, the lake came with a history. It’s said that women who were infertile would come from all over and take a dip in this fertility lake so that they could get pregnant. How much of this is true? I do not know, but it’s always interesting to learn about these kinda things. At the lake we canoed, paddled and swam around for a bit. it started raining after a while. Lucky much? Island exploration was shortened because of that. Headed back to hotel right after then went out again for food at Fat Mum’s. T’was okay. I loike seafood. :d. Played dumb games (CCT, spoon, name game) at the hotel and had a few drinks that pin, roy and gene bought.

Day 3, didn’t really sleep much the night before. Bed felt lumpy and uncomfortable. brunch was at this nasi kandar-like place. the place was called.. tomato something. Was approached by this woman. Apparently she thought that she was doing me a favor by telling me the meaning of the word “slut”. Oh, well thanks(?) anyway. (wth, why do these things keep happening?!! Lol.) We beached for most of the day.. hee hee. lookie! i made us sound like whales! Ha ha ha imsodamnfunnyrightnowreally. erm. banana boated, tanned(?), built sand castles, cam whored (i now have frightening amounts of self photos), swam around, lazed around, rolled about. Dinner was at this quaint looking restaurant with okay-ish food. chilled out at our rooms after and watched a whole lot of Ali G. check it, yo.

Day 4, our last fun in the sun day. We checked out of the rooms at 12. did a whole lot of last min. shopping at ‘THE ZON’, this dirt cheap duty free place. used up the car petrol by joyriding around the rest langkawi. drove to this oriental village cos that’s where the cable car ride is. it goes high up then in between these two really steep mountains. The view from up top was spectacular. saw yachts near the coasts, blue skies, clouds that looked like foam, waves crashing into the rocks and all. And, I love the fact that it was breezy. Darn, If only they allowed bungee jumping/free falling. Lunched at KFC. then visited the black sand beach. Why black sand? It’s this mermaid’s curse or some sort for what her sailor lover did to her. Sheesh, you know how it goes.. Saw many cows, chickens and kampong-like houses on the way to the jetty. (Mmm.. nuggets.) hung around starbucks while waiting for our boat. Had me a mocha frapp. light. Long ride home wasn’t as bad as the ride to langkawi. Though we reached KL later than scheduled which was at abt 4am-ish. Ate dinner/bfast at Kayu before we all went home. Think I got home at about 6ish. Then slept (not really).

er. yeah, this is where i run out of camera space.

all in all, this trip was good fun. had all sorts of laughs. goofed around, hung out. and it's always nice to look back at these pictures. smile to ourselves, say stuff like "ahh, those good times.." and ramble on with those "remember whens". hmm, oh and it was time we went somewhere new anyway. genting's getting old. :/

anyways, i was away with Jun's family for a lil holiday at bukit tinggi.. its a french town/castle themed resort. pretty nice place, no much to do but chill.. and swim. got to know his aunt from US better and his mom and bro as well. they are seriously a very nice family and very together.. they loooove their food. their like one of the only families that i know that go for regular supper. and a heavy supper it is.. even after a full dinner at home. so there's my reason for being a fatty even though i go to the gym..

It’s not very often that we get good weather these days, it being monsoon season and all. Though, the weather yesterday at this one time was just PERFECT. Not too bright, cloudy with a bit of warm sunshine peeping through and to top it all off, there was this light breeze that came and went. Sounds so holiday villa-y hor? It was around noonish then, so the windows are usually all open. And wonders of all wonders, it turns out that that was the best condition to get me to take a NAP. Heh, I never EVER take naps. Even when I was younger, my popo had such a hard time getting me to sleep. (at night too!) But for some arsed reason i felt so sleepy that afternoon and i couldn’t keep awake. (yeah, such a pig right…) Generally, I’ve always hated the idea of napping. I mean, we spend half of our lives sleeping at night anyway so why waste the rest of the day sleeping even more?

Gah. Anyway, I guess I was having the BEST nap.. best i’ve had in a long time I think. Though like most things good, this was short lived. (Yeah, great.. take this away from me too why don’t you. ;/) Was jolted awake by the most awful sound coming from outside. I really couldn’t make sense of it at first. Could’ve sounded like a girl shrieking or… it could’ve also been a very high pitched yelp! …Whatever it was, my first thought was to find out what the fuck was making that god-awful sound, then shut it up. REALLY man. I practically fell off the couch. Was having such a nice dream at the time too…….. Raar.

I looked outside the window then started freaking out when i saw that it was my damn neighbour’s dog mauling this poor little white stray pup. However, the little doggy manage to pull away ...ran off so fast that I didn’t even see which way it went. Ish, the whole thing was so quick, bloody violent and quite gross. blood spatters all over their front gate and I think I saw a piece of EAR. Yuk. I tell you, my neighbour’s dog is really satan’s evil spawn in disguise. The thing will bite/kill/bark at anything that breathes/moves outside my neighbour’s house. Yeah, sometimes in the morning when I leave for school the lousy shit will run after my car even. Heh. Crazy dog. Geez. Know what? one day, I’ll put my gear at reverse and run over that damn bugger. Haha!

Nah, that’s evil. I’d never do that. Lol.

Poo. hmm, Oooh.. I have approx. 7 hrs and 7 minutes till I leave for S'pore. Man, I’m feeling antsy already. ;d. shopping fever baybeh! Crapes, can’t wait!!
